Enlightenment

I was looking at pictures today of people living on the streets of India, and I found a picture of some homeless children reading a book.
My heart goes out to them, they deserve better, as all homeless people do.
They are living on a sidewalk with cars and people rushing by.
They have no home, but they are completely obliviously to everything.
But in this one second of their lives--lost in words--they are surrounded by magic.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. Mahatma Gandhi

Brain Tricks

I love the phenomenon of tricking the brain into seeing something that isn't there. This is so cool! I did it over and over just to experience it. Please check it out.

P:L:A:N:T:S:

One thing that always makes me happy is to look at my plants when I get home. I think they can read my mind and control my thoughts. I just put in that last sentence to see if anyone was paying attention. It would be cool if they were aware of humans, and behaved somewhat (maybe not so drastically) similar to the ones in Minority Report (one of my favorite movies.)

Some plants clean the air quality of our homes. Mother in law plant is one of these.

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

I'm sure Milan is one of the greatest places to visit anyway, but now I discover they have one of the oldest and coolest malls and in the world. When I first saw the picture I thought it had been built recently. since it reminded me of the covered top on Freemont st in Las Vegas. But it was built in the late 19th century. Here are a couple of sites for it.

Steampunk

I don't always love steampunk art, but when I do I find it so unique. This was on my face book and the title was steampunk fairy. It's so cute. I think this would be cool as a brooch or pin to wear on a shirt.

Louis Armstrong What A Wonderful World

This was a commercial in the 1970's about pollution, though I can't find
this video anywhere in ad form. If you know where I can find it or
you know that this is just a figment of my imagination-- please let me know.

Too many things to love

There are so many things to love on this earth that I don't know where to start.  Sometimes simple things can be the most wonderful things in the universe. God has given us so much. Here goes my first cool thing.
